Collections of very small scale mono prints on hand painted antique book pages with the addition of hand applied lettering.
On this small scale works there is also the addition of rubber stamp printing.
It is intended that these small prints are collaged into the larger screen printed work as well as possibly being added in layers through digital photographic techniques.
Based on a monochrome screen printed image taken from drawing juxtapositions of the local area map for Hitchin together with drawings of celebratory Gypsophilia flowers and other narrative elements selected from personal memory of the locality around the Priory site in Hitchin.
Small sketches like these experiment with the idea of ‘snippets’ of responses in the form of mono printed paper elements combined and collaged onto the main print.
These elements would be taken from my own work on site over the two day period as well as prints made by visitors to the festival.
